Membership Agreement – POPIA Compliance

This Membership Agreement is entered into between the Transvaal Scottish Regimental Association, hereinafter referred to as the TSRA, and [Member’s Name] (“the Member”) as of 3rd November 2023.

1. Personal Information Collection and Processing

  1. The TSRA may collect and process personal information about the Member for the purposes of managing and administering their membership.
  2. The types of personal information that may be collected include but are not limited to: Name, Contact information (address, email, phone number) Date of birth, membership status and history.
  3. The TSRA will only collect information that is relevant to the purposes for which it is being collected.

2. Purpose of Collection

Personal information will be collected for the following purposes:

  • Administering and managing the Member’s membership.
  • Providing updates and information related to the TSRA’s activities.

3. Consent

  • By signing this Agreement, the Member consents to the collection and processing of their personal information as outlined in this Agreement.
  • The Member has the right to withdraw their consent at any time by notifying the TSRA in writing.

4. Security and Protection of Personal Information

  • The TSRA will take reasonable measures to protect the personal information collected from unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction.

  • The Member has the right to request access to, and correction of, their personal information held by the TSRA.
