Festive Season message from the Chairman

Hello to All fellow Jocks and friends,

This has been, to say the least, a very strange and difficult year for all of us. One of the positive results of the COVID pandemic is that it has taught us the real value of family and friends. Being locked up with our loved ones, for the most part, has not been as difficult as we would have imagined. Most of us have survived and found our family ties to be stronger.

To those that have lost loved ones to Corona and or other causes our deepest sympathies. I don’t think any of us were not affected by the unreal circumstances that we found ourselves in this past year. But with the ongoing support of our family and friends, we will get through.

Your Association too has had to adapt with a varying degree of success. Our Sunday meetings, in place of Monday meetings, has not been as well attended as we all hoped they would be. Yet, on the other hand, Burns Nicht for 2021 has been fully booked out so it’s not all doom and gloom.

We the members and friends of the TSRA are very fortunate to have an extended family to fall back on in times of hardship and I encourage all of you to share your fortunes and misfortunes with us. Those of us who have served in times of conflict will bear witness to the fact that true comradeship does exist and certainly helped us get through those tough times and will most definitely help us through the next wave.

Susan, M’orag, Phillip, Alexander and I wish you and your family a blessed Christmas and peaceful and prosperous 2021
